Santa Videos

Paige playing the trombone with santa and everyone singing jingle bells

Naughty or Nice?

Friday night we went to the Giebelhaus'.  They are our old neighbors that I grew up living next too until I was 13.  We have had Santa come to this Christmas party for all long as I can remember and never stopped even when we were older.  Now we have some kids of our own who get to enjoy the same Santa! fun times!

Santa funny :)

Here is an old family Christmas picture from two years ago.  I didn't Blog back then so I like to add random oldies here and there.

Today I went to a website that made videos from Santa for your kids.  It was really cute.  The big questions at the end was are you on the nice list or naughty list.  Delaney was totally sure that she was on the nice list not worried a bit.  Abby on the other hand was really worried she hid behind me and was not sure.  She had run away from me ( once again) after preschool and we had just talked about that. Well, it turned out OK Abby was on the nice list too.  In the video I tell Santa to tell Abby to always listen to her mommy.  I asked her when we were done if she remembered Santa had said to always listen you her mommy.  Abby then told me in her own Abby words that, Santa had said she was on the nice list so she was good she did not need to do anything more!

We see Santa at our good friends house tomorrow night.  Same Santa who I saw when I was little.  He may have to remind Abby to listen to her mommy!!

Ice Skating?

So today while I was working on laundry and answering e -mails Abby went into my room.  I went to check on her and she was naked in my shower.  I asked her what she was doing.  If you have read my posts before the naked part was not shocking.  She said she was ice skating.  She had squirted my body wash on the shower floor and was skating on it.  I will admit she is creative.  Not my idea of ice skating, maybe I should really take her ice skating?

Christmas Program

So Delaney was a shepherd and Abby was an angel.  The angel did not want mommy to leave her side so I was up on stage the whole time as well.  The angel also wanted to jump off the back on the risers, go sit with Daddy, Paige, Grandma and Papa and move the other children over so she could have the best spot.  All is all they both did great!  It was Cute!

Dancing Divas

Today was the dance recital.  It was the cutest thing I have ever seen.  It was a busy day today.  We had some rain, then snow so the driving conditions were not the best.  First we had Christmas Program practice.  I had a huge scare there.  I lost Abby for what seemed like forever but was less than 10 minutes maybe closer to 5, ( forever to a mother).  There were TONS of people and they were switching groups and she was gone.  I had strangers and friends helping me look for her and I was pretty emotional and when we found her and I lost it.  That was SO scary!  The day ended better with the cutest little dancers.  I think their class stole the show, OK I know I am partial :)   3-5 year olds with towels and swim suits dancing to yellow polka dot bikini.  Laying on towels kicking their legs, so CUTE!! Abby loved it and did great, she came and said " Mommy did you see me I was up on stage dancing!"  Delaney was a little upset because the towel was not cooperating with her, but that made it even cuter!

Honor Badge Winner

This is an old update but it is an important one.  The end of first semester at school they had the awards assembly and Paige won quite a few awards but she also won an honor badge.  Only two fifth graders get this award and ALL the teachers in the WHOLE school vote on who gets it.  It is a pretty big deal ( at her school).  She gets to do some special things because she won it and is trusted with more responsibility.  She makes me SO proud.  I figure I must have done something right as a mother because she turned out to be a pretty great kid!
