So what have we been up to? We had a great Christmas. Fun age for the girls and Paige got everything she wanted as well. Paige's new thing is called Bey blades they are spinning top things that you launch. I tried to play with her and I am not all that good, I launched the top out of the "arena". She also received tons of books and has been reading a lot and has many Barnes and Noble Bookstore gift cards to spend. Delaney is loving all her princesses and Barbies, she is pretty cute when you listen to her play with them. Abby loves games and her favorite right now is "Don't Break the Ice" we play it many many times per day. She also love "Elefun" and her new letter writer that teaches her how to make all the letters.
We have gone to Morril Hall and have had nice enough weather to play outside at a park. The girls have new roller skates and skate around the house for fun. Yesterday we made New Years Eve shakers with paper plates and beans and glitter. BIGGEST MESS ever!! They had fun and Paige was in charge of the art project and listening to her I thin she could be a future teacher. She was not too concerned about the mess but did help me clean up :) .
Abby funny update ( well funny to everyone reading). I has helping Delaney in the bathroom yesterday and Abby has asked me to peal her orange for her. I had not done it yet because Delaney need me in the bathroom. I came out and Abby had gotten the glue and glued her orange and a few ice pieces from her "Don't Break the Ice" game to the floor. In a nice little line. The glue had not dried yet but she told me it was because I did not peal her orange for her. I do not follow her thinking at times, she glues the orange she wants to eat to the floor. Oh ABBY!
Tonight the girls are going to Party with Grandma and Grandpa. Rob and I are going to dinner with the sisters, brother and BIL, then we are going to on of my best friends house for a small get-to-gather. It should be fun. Rob has to work at 11 which is a bummer :( He has only had one NYE off work in the whole time I have known him. We call each other at midnight and wish each other Happy New Year!
We are going to Florida in a week. I am really excited. Rob won the trip from Amigos and it is a group trip to Walt Disney World. The vote was to not bring children, I was at first super bummed that the kids could not go. I think we will have a good time and have researched fun things to do. Paige is a little bummed but I know she will have fun with Grandma and Papa and I promise to bring them back some cool stuff!
Happy New Year to everyone who is reading this. It has been a good year. We have been in our house for a year. We have had our dog Jack for a year. Paige is doing awesome her last year of Elementary School, the girls like preschool, I am still working part time at UNL, Rob still likes his job even if he does work all the time. We hope 2012 is a great new as well. Happy New year!!
I am starting this to record my daily adventures with three year old twins and a ten year old -all girls. I love my girls and love being able to stay home with them.

A new Day
Today is a much better day than yesterday. Sorry for my last post it was a long day. We did have fun yesterday decorating our ginger bread house. We also had a great time looking at Christmas lights. Today the girls have been so good. I cleaned the house and finished wrapping a few presents. Abby did get into the fridge and threw a bowl of corn around the living room but that is all in a day with Abby. She helped me clean it up so it is all good. What a difference a day and a good night sleep makes :) Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Pre-school Christmas Party, All school Sing, Ginger Bread house, decorating cookies and looking at Christmas lights
OK after I type the whole title I know why today was not a good day. We tried to do too much! Abby and Delaney had their pre-school Christmas party this morning and that was fun. Abby did not want to listen some while I was there but all in all a good morning. Two nights ago Delaney was up until four in the morning for no real reason and we are all still suffering from that. Everyone was not in the best mood today, including me. I then tried to go to Paige's all school sing and we lasted one and half songs, then I left like a crazy women because my children would not sit still. I then drove around crying ( don't feel too sorry for me, I was just having my own pity party). Tonight we made our Ginger Bread house, decorated sugar cookies, ordered pizza, then went and looked at Christmas lights. I was just trying to do whatever I could to survive until Rob got home. Thursdays are long days for me Rob works until 7 and then goes to his work out class after he gets off work. He is doing great on his weight loss Challenge and has lost almost 20 pounds! Today was one of those day that I am glad we get a fresh start tomorrow. Nothing was going right and I am counting down the minutes until Rob gets home. Tomorrow will be better :)

Rocks and Minerals, Momma and Paige
Paige pictured with her favorite mineral. She was talking with the scientists about everything. I did not even know some of the stuff she was talking about. I was able to name every one's birth stone though :) That Paige is one smart cookie.
They wired wrapped a stone for her, pretty cool. The scientist told Paige she could make it into a necklace. Well, not Paige no necklace for her. We put it on a key ring for her backpack. It was a great Mom and Paige day.

Naughty or Nice?
Friday night we went to the Giebelhaus'. They are our old neighbors that I grew up living next too until I was 13. We have had Santa come to this Christmas party for all long as I can remember and never stopped even when we were older. Now we have some kids of our own who get to enjoy the same Santa! fun times!

Santa funny :)
Here is an old family Christmas picture from two years ago. I didn't Blog back then so I like to add random oldies here and there.
Today I went to a website that made videos from Santa for your kids. It was really cute. The big questions at the end was are you on the nice list or naughty list. Delaney was totally sure that she was on the nice list not worried a bit. Abby on the other hand was really worried she hid behind me and was not sure. She had run away from me ( once again) after preschool and we had just talked about that. Well, it turned out OK Abby was on the nice list too. In the video I tell Santa to tell Abby to always listen to her mommy. I asked her when we were done if she remembered Santa had said to always listen you her mommy. Abby then told me in her own Abby words that, Santa had said she was on the nice list so she was good she did not need to do anything more!
We see Santa at our good friends house tomorrow night. Same Santa who I saw when I was little. He may have to remind Abby to listen to her mommy!!

Ice Skating?
So today while I was working on laundry and answering e -mails Abby went into my room. I went to check on her and she was naked in my shower. I asked her what she was doing. If you have read my posts before the naked part was not shocking. She said she was ice skating. She had squirted my body wash on the shower floor and was skating on it. I will admit she is creative. Not my idea of ice skating, maybe I should really take her ice skating?

Dancing Divas
Today was the dance recital. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. It was a busy day today. We had some rain, then snow so the driving conditions were not the best. First we had Christmas Program practice. I had a huge scare there. I lost Abby for what seemed like forever but was less than 10 minutes maybe closer to 5, ( forever to a mother). There were TONS of people and they were switching groups and she was gone. I had strangers and friends helping me look for her and I was pretty emotional and when we found her and I lost it. That was SO scary! The day ended better with the cutest little dancers. I think their class stole the show, OK I know I am partial :) 3-5 year olds with towels and swim suits dancing to yellow polka dot bikini. Laying on towels kicking their legs, so CUTE!! Abby loved it and did great, she came and said " Mommy did you see me I was up on stage dancing!" Delaney was a little upset because the towel was not cooperating with her, but that made it even cuter!
Honor Badge Winner
This is an old update but it is an important one. The end of first semester at school they had the awards assembly and Paige won quite a few awards but she also won an honor badge. Only two fifth graders get this award and ALL the teachers in the WHOLE school vote on who gets it. It is a pretty big deal ( at her school). She gets to do some special things because she won it and is trusted with more responsibility. She makes me SO proud. I figure I must have done something right as a mother because she turned out to be a pretty great kid!

Yes you can ( A message to my daughters)
Dear Paige, Abby and DeeDee,
There will come a time in your young lives where someone will tell you that you can not do something. I am here to tell you, yes you can.
Grandma and Grandpa were told when I was young that I had a foot problem and that I would never be a runner : I think I completed a half marathon last May, I think that makes me a runner!
I was told in second grade that I could not sing and I should "mouth the words". I think I have sang many songs that have calmed my children to sleep. To my children I can sing
I was also told that I was not creative when I tried to make my art project just like my teachers and failed. I have since made many scrapbooks, cards, jewelery and decorated our house and had people offer to pay me for my creativity ( that I did not have).
I was told I was so shy that I could never give a speech. I have won two different speech contests one in Jr. high school and one is high school, I am even still surprised I could do this :)
I was also told that I would not have children. I have three beautiful daughters that I am able to write this note to.
If you want to do it, give it a try. Do not let anyone tell you that you can't do it. You are the one that gets to decide what you want and do not want to do.
You are beautiful, you are special and you will always have me cheering you on in whatever you decide to do because I believe you can and I believe you will
Love, MOM

Funnies
I need to write down some of the things the girls have done lately:
Abby opened the window the other day and played her recorder for the people who were working on the neighbors lawn because she thought they would like it
I was playing soccer with Abby tonight and I did not stop the ball the right way ( like daddy taught her) so she came over and showed me how to do it
Abby also thinks the password to our computer is her name, she knows it starts with an A and told me that the only reason they put the letter A B or Y on a keyboard are for her to spell her name :)
Paige brought a coupon to school for her teacher. She won lunch with her teacher and he was getting Subway for them and she wanted to make sure he got the best deal.
Paige also told me that they recorded her band playing jingle bells together as a group. She said it sounded like people moaning jingle bells on the toliet ( her words) she then said it was a good thing that they did not sound like that in "real life".
Delaney told me the other day after I got home from a run and was really tired. "Mommy I told you not to run so fast you really need to slow down and take care of yourself"
Delaney likes to get up earlier than all of us right now and goes around singing a song " get up get up it is get up time, the sun is up ( even if it is not) and it is time to get up!!
More to come later....we have been sick here at our house lately, hoping tomorrow is a better day :)
